Kat Maconie has built a shoe empire based on hard work, commercial sense and at first, trial and error. Nothing has stopped her in her quest to grow the business she loves.

When she first started, she worked in recruitment by day, did a shoe design course by night and at weekends set up the business proving that really the only way to do it is to knuckle down and get it done! With a keen head for business combined with creative flair Kat was nominated for Shoes designer of the year in 2013 and has since gone from strength to strength.

Kat has a huge following in Asia and the shoes are also manufactured there so she is no stranger to travel, red eye flights and making the most of short, stop-over visits. Last year Kat got married and chose Capri which was truly magnificent with this in mind we asked her to give us her top travel tips.
